NHSS 12 TSS Course – Traffic Safety Supervisor (Previously TSCO)

To provide candidates with the necessary knowledge to become a Traffic Safety Supervisor.

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Assess whether the contractors have the necessary resources to complete the task
• Assess whether the Traffic Management has been installed to the contract requirements
• Assess whether the TM will be sufficient for the proposed works
• Understand the role of a TSCO and its limitations
• Organise an emergency lane closure
• Complete a roadspace application for a basic closure

Lantra Awards shall provide a certificate to those that successfully pass the end of course assessment.

The pass mark is 75%

Certification lasts for 5 years.

To become a Traffic Safety Supervisor you must hold the following qualifications;

• NHSS 12A Foreman
• An Approved Health & Safety Qualification (E.G. IOSH MSIC, SSSTS etc…)
• 3 day First Aid at Work
• Traffic Safety Supervisor

All 4 qualifications must be in date and be submitted along with a TSS Application Form to Lantra Awards to claim your TSS Card.
